Born in Capua (Caserta) in 1964. She lives and works in the village of Uscio, near Genoa.
After a long experience in the field of cultural journalism and literature, Tina Cosmai dedicated herself to the language of photography.
Her work has been exhibited in various solo and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad. A finalist in several international awards, her work is included in important collections in Italy and abroad.
The project La Luna e i Falò, dedicated to the Italian writer Cesare Pavese, is exhibited at the Museo Fondazione Pavese, Santo Stefano Belbo (Cuneo). With the project Manikins he wins the "6th Fine Art Photography Award" in 2019 and the "New-Post Photography Mia Fair", Milan, in 2021. Honourable mention for the project Nostalgia del corpo (Body Nostalgia), "18th Julia Margaret Cameron Award for Women Photographers", 2022. With the project Sostantivo Femminile (Feminine Substantive), she is a finalist winner of the "Art Save the Food" award at Mia Fair, Milan 2023, curated by Claudio Composti.
Her works have been exhibited at important art fairs: Mia Fair Milan 2021, 2022 and 2023; Photo London Fair 2023; The Phair Turin 2022; Photo Fair Rotterdam 2022; Chorus, Milan 2024.
Her works have been published in specialist and non-specialist magazines: "Il Fotografo", "Elle", "l'Oeil de la Photographie", "ArtsLife", "Le Litteraire", "Spectaculum Magazine", "Photo Magazine", "Fotoit", "Elle Décor". In 2021, her first book of photographs was published: Epifanie. L'altra fisica del paesaggio, edited by Loredana De Pace. In 2022 Contrasto publishes Via di Fuga a Mare with text by Gigliola Foschi. In January 2023 the magazine "Photo London" no. 88 published a monograph on her artistic projects.
