For me, coming from poetry, post-photographic processing is a challenge to the reductive concept of photography as a reflection of reality, opening up a new world of escapes and infinite possibilities.
By working digitally, with the care and meticulousness of a craftsman, I create from my photographs improbable and paradoxical scenarios tinged with dramatic melancholy. In this sense, the stripped landscapes, emptied of the teeming human presence, are paradigmatic of my poetics, which have recently evolved in a spiritual direction dominated by the bright contrast between absolute light and darkness.
In my dreamlike visions, which aim to capture a time suspended between nature and the unconscious, I express an archetypal dimension in which subject and object interpenetrate in a complete synthesis between me and the viewer of the work.
A deeper analysis reveals the existential anguish and inner pain that is the most authentic origin of the only apparently harmonious and reassuring final result.
Antinomies are constitutive of my artistic project in which I combine intimate and social contradictions with the enchantment of beauty.
