I use different mediums to explore themes related to identity and memory.
Dominant practice in my work is the recovery and reinterpretation of archival materials through which I try to tell new stories, without implementing a nostalgic evocation of the past but proposing a new vision of reality.
I prefer off-camera work and often the images I make are the result of superimpositions on different media, thanks also to the use of ancient photographic contact printing techniques.
I am mainly interested in the process of my work: it is a long time in which I can experiment but also reflect on the human value of photography as an ancient artistic practice (the flaw in this case becomes an active part of the work, making it real) and also on the concept of latency: a suspended time, where the image is still imagined and not revealed.
